In war

In war, not cold
But thirsty,
Not warm
but helpless,
Afraid my beats will stop not of death,
But the love; soul longing to get old.
Poor me or death that awaits to change.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Welcome to Poetry Soup. I welcome you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.

Dear Adaa, the feeling of unease, loneliness and melancholy is palpable is the affecting brevity of your poem. Warmest wishes.. ~Susan
