In Traction

Those horrible things you said
Daggers in flesh
That is already dead
They serve to remind me
That your pain
Is greater than mine.

Hello Jeff :) The brain fog, she's thick today. Putting thoughts together and hitting the right keys a challenge. This piece held close. Mum said horrible shit when I was literally in traction. The hospital chaplain even offered to have her banned from visiting. I didn't, just wrote a poem about it years later. Ouch for you. Thank you! xomo
