In Times Like These

Listen to poem:
Rainbows within the sky Shadows are passing us by Covering the dead that die Winds are wondering why Blood and sweat in the sand People walking in a distant land Smiles are frozen as they stand Laughing has been banned Eyes upon the saddened Sun We are out to hurt no one Our Phasers set on stun Hang on tight to your gun Folks staying far apart What happened to our start? Sending arrows to my heart Realigning reality to restart Do as they say no more excuse Tyrants of power of more misuse Prisoners set on the loose Time for them to re-abuse Arrests made in your front yard Playing Frisbee has been barred Fighting with the grooming guard All are memories have been scarred The children are not at school Who will teach them the golden rule? Who is the victim who is the fool? Education is no more the tool Mainstream media ticks the clock Pandemics are here to shock Shakers & fakers feed their flock Maniacs are here to mock Smoking breaks the mood Soon to be out of food Don’t want to sound so rude But I think we're $%#@ing screwed. Your last line explains you sentiments completely my dear friend, how right you are! In two and a half months 300000 people have died globally, is humankind to become extinct, we must fight back, and work hard to find this demon's track. Blessings and hugs Wingster, time for my superhero and Fireball to take over ruling Planet Earth! Jennifer.

Congratulations on your win. I love where you say, "Laughing has been banned." Oh no, that is all we have left. I also love where you say, "But I think we're $%#@ing screwed." Enjoy your day and win.........

A couple of months ago there wasn't a word about it and now our beautiful world has been torn apart, I think the aftermath of all this will be horrendous. Well written W. W. And congrats. Tom

CONTINUED: One more thing I wanted to say. "We are out to hurt no one Our Phasers set on stun Hang on tight to your gun". REALLY loved the message here ... weapons don't mean paranoia or a wish for a bloodbath ... they are there are for safety and peace. (a new renaissance on the horizon ... perchance?)

Yikes. So much brutal truth in your poem here ... some too afraid to say out loud in fear of retaliation from the mob: "Prisoners set on the loose" "Arrests made in your front yard" ... After the virus has it's way with us ... then comes Big Guv with an even bigger, bloodier stick! Like you, I fear for the future, but stay optimistic in the present... fear can have my tomorrow (it doesn't need my today as well!)

It sure looks that way doesn't it. Makes one glad to keep a larder. Start now to build one if you haven't got one. Buy big bags of rice and store it away. If you have a freezer try to fill it up little bit at a time. Buy flour and salt and pepper to have on hand. Put back cold meds. Prepare yourself and pray. God Bless, JB

We, the People, in order to form a more perfect union, pledge allegiance to Social Distancing, and to the Big Brother, behind it all, One Big @#$#@#$ Asshaul! ~ There, now we all feel better!... Ha, ha. Still chuckling, W.W. ~ Pyrrhic Lyric Victory
