In Time

I want to hold you close, may I?
Before the sun sets and you say goodbye.

I want to see you smile, may I?
Before the dark comes in your sky.

I want to comfort you, may I?
Before you break and start to cry.

I want to wipe your tears, may I?
Before they fall down and even dry.

I want to show you my love, may I?
Before your wings learn how to fly.
