In Time

He told me how he felt tonight
My heart, certain, was at a fright.
I don’t know if I should be saying this,
My feelings of sorrow and bliss.

Could what he said be actually real
Because this heart could no longer conceal.
What I feel for him is true,
Maybe until the time is through.

What if he hurts me? I always fear.
Will I give him the chance to go near?
To own my most precious possession
That is my heart’s affection.

Someday soon I will find out,
And no longer will I live in doubt.
I’ll let him in my heart,
And never will we part.

I like your approach to this poem. There is a time and season for everything under the sun. Everything will fall into place in due time. I like the essence of this piece and the logic behind the message. Great job! ~Joseph

All very good questions one asks when facing new loves and life experiences. The rhyme is very good as is the read itself. Nicely done my friend. Michael

Such a heartfelt poem. If he read it, I'm sure he would realize how afraid, and tender your heart is. Good luck in all you hope for, but whatever the outcome, remember you are so worthy. ~ Carrie
