I don't really have a clue what is going on here!!

We’ve gathered in the country far away from city traffic, and there is no rule that says where we must park our cars. This day will soon turn into dusk. We’ve left the school and gathered in this field where grass is tall. The big event that we’ve been waiting for will soon ensue, and we’ll be in the thrall of one whom we admire – whom we adore! We’ve only heard him on the radio, but now we’ll see him with our very eyes. The crowd is hushing; soon begins the show. Those sitting in the grass begin to rise. He croons. Men are in awe; the ladies sigh. This night we’ll all remember till we die. March 11, 2020 for Line Gauthier's Back When Contest

It's always a good day when I wake up to find you've written a new sonnet... excellent as always, sonneteer, and a great take on the mysterious photo. "He croons. Men are in awe; the ladies sigh." Love it! ~ John

I would like to imagine it was Elvis.but she said the time was around 1951 and I am not sure he was singing that early on.

That photo was hard to decipher in terms of what they were doing--I like your interpretation--well written, as always, Andrea.

yes, very hard. I still don't have a clue why they were sitting there in grass, not even on blankets, and with notebooks and stuff near some of them!

The good ole Days. I am picturing Elvis or Johnny Cash and I smile.

You have painted a picture of when life was more peaceful and there was never a worry over some crazy shooting into the crowd. This is a wonderful entry Andrea. xxoo
