In these days of dust 1

Where shadows lengthen, fade
The clock whispers secrets
Each grain is life lived, lost
A fleeting shadow
A haunting of frost
Hourglass empires
Sands slip away
A slow, silent dance
At the close of the day
As the dust untold, well
Etched brave and bold
In branches of ancient trees
In the twilight's embrace
Where memories dwell
