In the Zone - Feeling It

The rim of the basket
   as wide as the ocean
The shot leaves his hand --
   poetry in motion...

Years later his pen's on fire
   never ceasing, never tired
Poems flow out of him
   like water from a stream
   Awake all night writing
   ~ tomorrow he'll dream

Thank you, Line. I wish I were in that zone, where everything just flows, (much) more often. I suppose we all wish that though...Perhaps it just comes about BECAUSE of the hard, grinding work that precedes it. Who really knows these things? They are the deepest of mysteries --- the working of the human mind and heart in concert. :) gw

The last two lines are interesting, as it will someday be so for all of us. We can write all night and sleep all day. What a concept! But would we get bored? I doubt if you would.

In the zone, there's no boredom ever, methinks. What say you? :)
