In the Words of An Eagle

In the Words of an Eagle It seems that my whole life I’ve looked toward the sky I know you’re up there somewhere But I just don’t know why You never seem to see me No matter how I try If I could be the eagle If only for one day I would soar down from the heavens Just so I could say You are not the only one There’s more than just you’re way I’d tell you I’m not perfect I know I’ve made mistakes But I always try my hardest No matter what it takes Then wallow in the sorrow As tears turn into snow flakes But most of all I’d tell you Why the eagle has to fly Cause it’s hard to tell their teardrops When they’re falling from the sky If the eagle had some courage If he didn’t fly away If he looked inside his heart He might find the words to say I love you and I'm proud of you You've learned from your mistakes But if I have to tell him My heart will always ache By: Jeremy Siedlecki
