In the Tunnels Below Jerusalem

Stones which were laid centuries ago line our path The past comes alive once more in these stones Millenia have passed since these stones were laid One can almost feel the sweat and toil it took to lay them The years have changed us But some things remain unchnaged The power that draws people to this ancient city Has kept us safe and will keep us safe in the future Our livesd are bound to the lives of the ancients Their strggles, their lives were not in vain The years will prove this to be true The worshippers continue to pray at the Kotel and in the tunnels below

you've really brought this place to life and i enjoyed this poem very much. the snow in jerusalem made the front page of the new york times today - and you were there to experience it! very cool! i have visited israel twice, but probably before you were born. i should probably visit again...

Matt, thank you for sharing the blessing imagery, that lives around the tunnels... I'm hoping all is well with you and the trip to Isreal... I'm glad I stopped by and spotted your name online... Goodnight... LINDA
