In the Stillness

The night grows old as the stars they shine.
I walk in green grass which shows no colour.
I touch a bush in the dark and a bird it whines.
The sounds are few and far between in this late hour.
The night has a light of darkness
It surrounds me all around.
I know no evil lurks
This is the quiet silent ground..
A light in the darkness shines
It lights someones way.
I am unable to see them
They are on this dark night too far away
But now the snow begins to fall.
And the darkness gets ever brighter.
The cold warm wind blows in my face.
As the ground beneath my feet gets whiter.
My footsteps leave a path in my wake.
The snow makes a sound so crisp.
And the ice sparkles like the stars.
It makes me feel so nice and alive.
On this bright dark silvery night.
