In the Spirit She Left With Her Mother's Soul
She was a shadow of her former self
In spirit she left with her mother’s soul.
Enjoying nothing of her days or nights.
Wailing and keening on her mother’s bed.
In spirit she left with her mother’s soul.
Overwhelmed, she chose to languish in grief.
Wailing and keening on her mother’s bed,
Family and friends were mightily concerned.
Overwhelmed, she chose to languish in grief.
Enjoying nothing of her days or nights.
Family and friends were mightily concerned.
She was a shadow of her former self.
