In the Sink

IN THE SINK

                                    dishes are in the sink
                                 and, like the leaky faucet,
                                  my hope falls with every

                                                drip
                                                  .
                                                drip
                                                  .
                                                drip

                                while the spaces in between,
                                 filled with all things unsaid,
                             demark another anxious moment
                                         she didn’t call.

Creative juxtaposition of events, the drip (time passing) of the dishes in the sink and the moments waiting for her call (that never comes). Nicely done! ~ Gershon

Heartfelt sadness expressed - dirty dishes pile up, leaking taps drip, so what - all you long for is that phone to ring, and it hasn't .....yet! Nicely penned Phil, Hugs, Jennifer. Thank-you for visiting my POTD

This is excellent. Uniquely, creatively excellent 'feel imagery' that impresses me. I hate that feeling but know it and with brevity, you brought it to me in a full visit. This visit I don't hate but admire. Keep that sink, it drips creativity for you to share with us. Poetry hugs ... CayCay
