In The Season of Truth
(A Black History Month Reflection)
“…ye have been with me
from the beginning…when
he, the Spirit of truth, is come,
he will guide you into all truth:..”
--John 15:27 & 16:13
You shall know the truth
and the truth shall set you free.
What is the truth but that which
was and can never be a lie?:
It was on a dark continent
where man first saw the light
of day in the beginning.
You shall know the truth
and the truth shall set you free.
There is no small wonder
that Napoleon would honestly
utter that “History…[their story]
was…the lie agreed upon.”:
The lie that overshadowed Ourstory;
the lie that was a stolen legacy…
a legacy of stolen plagiarized greatness
shrouded in Greek and Roman tales;
fashioned to spoil the moral fruits and seeds
of the Nubian tree of civilization:-
You shall know the truth
and the truth will set you free.
Come my people, let us now live
in the season of truth—the season
of God’s will: the time to truth:-
The appointed time has arrived;
truth is being revealed: feast on it!
You shall know the truth
And the truth will set you free.
