In the Rain
In The Rain
The Rain, and You, and Me, and We ...
Am I chilled?
Not, in the slightest.
Warm, sweet honey, flows from your amber eyes,
igniting the flames within.
I am more than warm, beloved.
Take my hand, let's walk, and talk, and love, in the rain.
Let's laugh, and share, and touch,
in the gentle embrace of the rain.
Just you and me, hidden, within this veil of raindrops.
The world is far, far away.
Only, the trees keep us company, joyfully alive,
with this drink from the gods,
as I am alive, for you.
I drink you.
My hair has become damp, beloved;
it flows, a long dark river, streaming it's way to you.
Your face glows warm, in this soft wetness.
Your lips are kissed by the rain,
and me,
in the rain, Beloved,
in the rain.
