In the Rain

On a day
Like any other,
I found him
In the rain.

Someone asked
What on earth
He was doing,
But he only smiled.

Tilting his head back
And opening his arms,
He welcomed the rain
Like nobody else.

I approached him
With hesitancy
As they told me
He’s crazy.

He lowered his head
To carefully regard me,
Stretched out a hand
And pulled me along.

Together,
We danced in the rain.
