In the Past
In The past I was a child
Filled with love and feelings
When an adult came up to me
And took away those feelings
Innocence, guilt, and hatred
Were the words on my mind
Petrified I was when next to him
And couldn’t move any part
He was going so strong on me
With hate in his eyes
Command from his mouth
And roughness from his hands
Tied I was in the bed
With no body part moves
All I did was fear for my life
And wish I can just live
For a few more days and months
Just to see my family members
Who cared for me and always will
No matter what I do
I made him finish his thing
And then I was free
To do whatever I enjoy and please
To live my life peacefully
To prosper and grow
Into a successful human being
In order to achieve
What family expects of me
To be a better man
And make sure always and ever
That they are living happily
Religion is important to them
And so it is to me
To give us faith
In what we believe
Is right in order
To live life and prosper through it.
