In the Park

My friend I remember
A day in the park
We posed as a memory
And laughed until dark
Our hopes were like fever
And we were so green
Just full of a world
That we'd never seen
Now you're living your life
Three thousand from mine
How I long for that yesterday
More carefree time
Friend I'll never forget
That day in the park
We had such a time
As we shone through the dark
