In the Night

Alert to a sound in the grass.
I jump out of bed and peer through the glass.
A staring contest, a try at the door.
A nervous fear begins to soar.
The Pressence left and ran to his car.
A calming feeling for nerves that were ajar.
Who was this pressence outside my door.
Gone in an instant, what did he come for?
