In the Name of Contests

Engaging in a contest to place at least, Challenging the mind for inspiration; The muse came and the poem completed, Entered into a contest waiting for summation. The entries all in the deadline closed, The judge takes time to ponder about; Though in his mind the winner is chosen, A good friend of his/her will clean out. Scratch my back and I scratch yours, The motto fits appropriately here; Does it matter how the poem reads? Even if the best poem was by Shakespeare. You Receive a comment you won first place, So glad you won because it was about mothers; Quickly you go and check the results, Only the find you shared first place with 35 others.
