In the Movie House

There are many souls who into nature go
to ponder thoughts; for me, this is not the case.
There are many spots where I can let thoughts flow!
But if not in bed and dreaming, I erase
my tensions best when I go to see a show.
At matinee time, it’s not a crowded place.
In the movie house, I put up both my feet.
This is my escape – with popcorn for a treat!

Very much enjoyed, Andrea! I knew your passion from my past participation in fb! (my girls don't let me be on anymore! they say I'm too opinionated!) I want to see the movie about Van Gogh! jimbo

Andrea, you expressed very well the tranquility your feel in the movie theater. When the lights dim, it seems to offer peace. (And maybe a nap?) Lovely write! It was very difficult for me to judge this contest because contestants wrote so many incredibly beautiful poems. It's my hope that all of them will regard their entries as wonderful "stand-alone" poems. Congratulations on your win! Best wishes, Carolyn
