In the Mountain Desert

Horizon to horizon
        unbroken by man,
Towering clouds
        above the land,
Thunder heard
        not often seen
In the mountain desert.

The moon at night
With shapeful clouds
And wind that rises high
Give the soul a thoughtful place
In the mountain desert.

Music from the gathered band
Rose above the sky,
A canopy of countless stars
Opened the mountain desert.

Wavering lines merge into sheets
turning the paths of many drops,
The rain brings a sigh to life
In the montain desert.
