In the Middle of the Universe, I Stand
1
In the middle of the universe, I stand-
A mere earthling by stomping on sand
raise hands to the gods forever at odds
How to call square at the end.
2
I am in the center of all
Awe-struck wide eyes at the ball
I am six feet tall
Can I say no to death call?
3
In the middle of the universe I stand
I exist, come and exit and life is never bland
I am an old quark for Mr. Marks
and receive my bills firsthand.
4
I am in the center of all
In my eyes deepest passions roll,
In the fringes of Milky way I stroll,
"I know my voices are dying with the dying fall"*
cf.*The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock
