In the Hands of the Night

I will plead with you one last time
Don't believe I've no more to give
What's coming over us, how could we lose
What at first was so easy to choose

In the hands of the night
It covered our eyes to the light
Now we are stranded and naked
From beautiful dreams we are rudely awaken
In the hands of the night
It squeezes out all that felt so right
Still I got the strength to show you
Morning won't be too far away
To release us from being in the hands of the night

If you feel so scared
Why don't you cling tighter to me
I'll never leave your side
As long as we got a fighting chance
And destiny gives us a hopeful glance

In the hands of the night
It covered our eyes to the light
Now we are stranded and naked
From beautiful dreams we are rudely awaken
In the hands of the night
It squeezes out all that felt so right
Still I got the strength to show you
Morning won't be too far away
To release us from being in the hands of the night

In the hands of the night
It covered our eyes to the light
Now we are stranded and naked
From beautiful dreams we are rudely awaken
In the hands of the night
It squeezes out all that felt so right
Still I got the strength to show you
Morning won't be too far away
To release us from being in the hands of the night
