In the Hall of Distinction
In the Hall of Distinction, they do gather to boast
The Lion ascends first, he with the most
impressive of roars, fails to convince the host
in the Hall of Distinction...
Up springs Brother Bear, he of the mighty growl
with matching countenance of fiercest scowl
yet he disappoints too, waves the white towel
in the Hall of Distinction...
Is there no creature fit to reign over all
no Inspiration to be found in the hall --
or only those who bellow before their downfall
in the Hall of Distinction...
