In the Fragility of Dreams
Down in the deep of my inner sleep
After counting dozens of winter sheep
An unmentioned worry can lift its dark head
To discuss some things, I rather do dread
And make me shudder in dreams I may reap
Other times after the cow jumps the moon
When I am in bed curled up like a spoon
Comes playful sights and happy me sound
Sometimes in your arms I am surround
To wake fresh in my world all lullaby hewn
Just as the sandman pulls up my bedspread
A simple thought I have, to plan far ahead
See sheep walking a palm tree strewn beach
Force the bad to stay out of my sleepy head reach
Replace dreams of sad for the good ones instead
In The Fragility of Dreams
