In the Fragility of Dreams:

The untold story of me~ "I am a bereaved Mother".
Two years ago life dipped me in a critical smother
This will permit many of you to bother..
As you read this narrated free rhyming verses one after another.

In my womb there was a tiny little seed growing with delicacy:
Wondering what was happening outside it's room with ecstasy.
Hearing to Lovable voices now & again happily,Sinking with my feelings greatly,Growing inside safely,
Hoping to come and view the world successfully.
But the hope did not last for long and soon became a sad symbolic song..

I dreamt endlessly of the unborn child:Not so wild but yet closely mild.
There was lot of happiness built with family member's curiousness;
But in a real short span of time ..All our dream went in vain.
Everyday my sleepless heart cries alike the pouring rain..Bearing this high implacable pain..!!

V, there are some grammar issues in this poem or it would have placed higher. I could really feel the pain you described and it was heart wrenching. Congratulations on your place in the contest! Best wishes, Carolyn

Deepa Your hurt is so evident in this poem! It is hard to pacify someone with such a loss but God must have a plan and a reason. God bless
