In the Forests of the World

I am in Guatemala taking Spanish classes because I own and run a gallery in Mexico. And this is my first poem in Spanish that I wrote yesterday. En Espanol En el bosque del mundo Hay muchas manos Alcanzando para el cielo Esperando para respirar Las estrellas caren como lagrimas Espolvorear los deseos Sobre el mundo En el bosque, las manos aplauden In English In the forest of the world There are many hands Reaching for the sky Hoping for breath The stars fall with tears Sprinkling wishes over the world In the forest many hands applaud written 10-6-2019 copyright protected Jeanne McGee 2019

I love it... I wish I knew Spanish... I would think it is very hard to learn a second language and always admire the ones who do. God bless you with many more great poems, Gina

Oh my goodness Gina, it is so hard to learn. I have been trying for years it seems and I still know only the basics. some people just have a natural gift for languages...I am not one, but it is important for my business, so I must push on.

thank you. Words and concepts don't always translate as well from English to Spanish. I am working on translations of my poems into Spanish for a book.
