In the Fire

Standing in the fire, the fiery trials.
Calling for Grace to hold my hand,
             to help me cope.
Mercy came and brought me Hope.

A ladder, on each rung, a child of
God, lifting prayers without doubt,
The Spirit with living water came and
              put the fire out.
