In the Fields In Which We Whistle

In the fields in which we whistle…
In death I have faced,
In depth my heart paced,
Your race, that your turn will end,
It’s not as scary,
Still slightly weary,
It’s not as bad as you have imagined.

What is worse for you?
Pain and suffering true,
Is the thought of it as worse than it is?
Are you scared to miss?
All the things you come to love and kiss,
Not to know what the future holds for you.

Our earth and human existence,
What will become of them?
What inventions will be discovered?
And secrets uncovered,
What songs will be heard? Movies to be seen,
with new stars of stage and screen.

What I believe death is not our foe,
Or our worst enemy or welcomed guest,
The choice is ours for the one last breath,
For those who want to choose our dismissal,
What I believe is our greatest strength,
Is our fight for survival in the fields in which we whistle…
