In the Faraway

IN THE FARAWAY

The fear of night slung me far away
In the ship , in the air , in railway ;
Better a journey when there is a ray
Than when all is weak and life begins to fray


So pleased love is the connecting rod
That refreshes me our great accord
Which we pledged before men and God
Though in the faraway, only this I hoard


Therefore I shall come back
When nothing again we shall call lack
But only to dance and enjoy the rock
When all shall be real and none a mock


Doubt me not and ask me not how
Darling you were then,darling you are now.
