In the End

In the end

I'll be there
In the end
I wasn't there
But now I am
A mortal being
Immortal matter
Buried or burned
Dust or bone
Forever
on Earth
the universe
Beyond
An eternal presence
Mixed with all before
An ever growing
Carbon mass
Collectively shrouding
The world and
All around
I can't be rid
Im here for
The long haul
I'll be there
In the end
