In the End

When all is said and done,
and the time comes for us to die,
We hold our heads high regardless
of illness, remembering all those
who endured our journey with us,
Acquaintances who affirmed our
lives, whether or not it made sense,
In the end, we look to the significant
characters who shaped our world,
whether they were positive or caused
our lives to unfurl,
In the end, if Jesus is our friend,
the journey was worthwhile.
