Listen to poem:
In the early hours Thoughts turn crystalline In the silky silent Nothingness In the dark field Of endeavour With no opposition They gather No longer Corralled by barks Of Distraction Or fences of frustration Exploring My hopeful mind Grazing on the joy Of freedom Bleating with Poetic possibilities Until the luscious light Of sunrise awakens In the early hours

your poem was soft and gentle like the slow awakening of day. Your words describe how many of my mornings begin. Up before dawn ready to write and greet the day. I find during that time that I 'bleat with poetic possiblities.' Your poem was a delight to read. Have a great evening, Sara

Grateful am I, Sara, for your poetic companionship in those last moonlit hours before the new day breaks.. it's wonderful to think that we both gaze into our thoughts, despite the differing time zones, at a synchronised point of the birthing of a new day. Perhaps our poetic prayers will bump into each other, graze the same patch of inspiration and say hi. Bless you! Sam :) x

A good early morning to you my friend. Love this poem and the quotes too. A great, peaceful poem to wake up to. ‘ In the silky silent’ ‘ Grazing on the joy of freedom’ ‘ of sunrise awakens’. Beautifully written with an air of peaceful tranquility as you embrace a quiet, reflective start to the day ahead. A perfect time to let your talented, poetic mind bring thoughts to life as you enjoy the freedom of solitude where thoughts run freely. Have a wonderful day dear Sam. Love the narration and

Christine - that is so very lovely of you to say such nice things and I really appreciate it x I do find the stillness of the mornings refreshing in so many ways and I think probably I am not the only one (always better when there is not an alarm going off, it has to be said!). Blessings friend, S :) x
