In the Darkness of the Storm

Hear the thunder - see the lightning - rain's up above
The wind blows wildly - and the rain does pour.

While the thunder roars and the lightning strikes
It's rather heavy and quite strong tonight.

It's triggered the power - The lights are gone
Total darkness - in the midst of the storm.

For lovers - the scene is just right
Battery-powered radio - and bright candle light.

The music echoes - in the stillness of the night
The storm has calmed down -to set the mood just right.

Time has passed - and so has the storm
The lights are still out and it's gotten rather warm

In the heat of the summer - in the darkness of the storm.
