In the Breeze
He hid the pain she'd feel,
when their eyes met blind
him remaining dumb,
while she was tone deaf
unable to hear what's being
said and really going on.
Things moved so fast, she
couldn't focus on the motion,
only on the feelings that
held her off balance
swaying back and forth,
up and down, around.
Dizzy in confusion reaching
for a hand that does not exist,
the ground cracks to swallow
her whole, she cries...afraid,
unable to get off the ride, she
swings in the breeze alone,
the play ground was now closed.
