In the Blink of An Eye

It happened late one night-
Just after twilight--
In the blink of an eye.

She found him lying there--
His eyes open, his white, white hair-
He was a rapist cut down--in the blink of an eye.

The dog was growling and mean,
Worse then any she'd ever seen--
But he ran away Fast--in the blink of an eye.

Things just seemed to happen that way-
"Guess I'm just lucky", she'd say--
But angels appeared-unknown to her--in the blink of an eye.

Just a bit of dreaming.
