In the Beyond

In the beyond, i will meet you
neath the crayon silken sky
in the space, between two moments
where the brightest eagles fly

out of sleep I'll come to greet you
as the morning clears my eyes
from the muse of this days dawning
to the last, forgotten prize

stay, in this moment with me
let it feel just like a dream
i think I've known you in the past
familiar you seem

don't take your eyes away from me
it's you i want to see
i think I'll know you for all time
familiar to me

and, beyond our silken, fine existence
ever onwards to the distance
like the substance of the day
running through - away

of the evening in our work
is to reflect upon our worth
and, with the light of our reward
reach for the beyond
