In the Bells

In the bells that ring
I hear many things
Sounds of belief
The calls so deep
In the bells ringing
All my sins forgive

In the bells that ring
Some mere vibrations?
Or a holy hymn produced?
Or a false thought induced
In the bells ringing
Yes. I believe?

In the bells that ring
Melancholy the voice sing
Within me the thought lies
With the sound someone cries?
In the bells ringing
I begin to live

But now
In the bells that ring
I don't hear a thing
