In the Abyss

Life in the abyss is dark and dreary,
offering no hope for many,
The depression seems to go
on and on without a solution,
a quick fix or panacea,

People long to hail Halleluiah
from out of their misery,
and the dark, murky seas,

They wait to defy prophecy,
because a life in the abyss is not
congruent with their plans,
when everyone looks around
and sees their fellow men drowning
swiftly into quicksand, travelling the expres route
to the abyss, only trembling and fear exist,

In the abyss, there is no life force,
only remnants of positivity and false hope,
The vacuous minds have forgotten how to cope.
