In Search of Meditation
Meditation is the key that opens the soul
To push out all thought and sound the goal
To block all but your breath is the start
Or concentrate on the beat of your heart
If the noises and all sound will not cease
Your inner space cannot bring you peace
You must find the zone, your empty space
Be able to ignore the constant rat race
Scholars say a mantra must be found
If enlightenment is where you’re bound
I sat down after shutting the door
Searched for my mantra while on the floor
With legs crossed, sat straight with poise
And concentrated to block out all noise
My search for a mantra brought me to tears
For I could not get past my ringing ears!
