Why did the spells of yesterday
Abandoned on narrow, long streets of mist,
Betray me for chasing storm clouds away
With passion and hope and not my fist?

What will I have if no one’s there
And your warm embrace transforms to dust,
If maybe one day you’ll stop to care
Letting Earth swallow me back into my past?

How could I ever see light through this,
Not giving it all for what you deserve
When time and distance outweigh a kiss,
What narrow purpose does my love serve?

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
