In Our Rendezvous
I came
to visit your garden.
Spring...
Roses, bougainvillea,
chrysanthemums, lavenders...
Memories echoing...
We sat there beneath
the blossoming flowers
When you said,
"Promise me you'll wait for me".
Many springs came and gone...
And here I am
Standing at your garden
in another episode of spring;
I glance once again
at the pressed petal of roses
between the pages of my diary;
And with the flowers around me
I still hold on to the promise...
How many flowers shall wilt and dry?
How many springs do I have to wait?
