In Our Dreams

You had a dream of me last night
and all the nights before,
as did I have a dream of you last night
and all the nights before, too.

You were crying in my dream,
as was I, in your dream too.
We kissed and cuddled
In a giant pit of fire is where we huddled.

As the devil looked at us and grinned
we stood up tall and smiled
Angels sang with grace
it was clear we had won a brutal race.

As wars brewed
and civil rights burned
castles fell
and trees grew,
we held each other together
and the world never hurt us.
We were together
we held our ground
while all the world fell into its own self made holes,
we buried them alive and danced on their graves.

Together forever,
but you are all the way over there,
and all I just want to do is to hold you
till the end of days,
but you are over there
no where could we find the time in chaos
to be one,
somehow we'll meet again...
maybe tomorrow night
we will hold each other once more in our dreams.

The pain, the glum, the tears are all visible here, but there is hope to meet again. beautiful.
