IN MY THANKSGIVING
In my praises that blossom with thanksgiving* bliss
My heart trusts God Whose awesome wonders are best
While adoring Him in making stewardship blest
As His redeemed toward timeless fellowship I can’t miss.
In my joys that emanate from gratitude delight
My faith cleaves to the Saviour Who leads well
Amidst divine silence prayer can foretell
As I tread righteousness-paths, ushered by His light.
In my triumph that defies illusion and hypocrisy’s pain
My hope is in the Lord Who shines with His loving glow
Always vibrant against synthetic or artificial show
Enabling my thankfulness to radiate faithfulness-gain.
In my haven that shields me from swirling distraction burst
My soul abides in the Almighty’s assurance of approval nod
Around my rustic worship sanctuary, guarded by His staff and rod
I thank Him earnestly, seeking His kingdom first.
*Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
