In My Shoes

IN MY SHOES

Walking down life’s path
I don’t see you very clearly
I hear your footsteps
But I don’t feel your pain
Or experience your joy

Through my own eyes
Perception is mine alone
And individual walk
Limiting my view
I try to put myself
In your shoes
But the size and fit
Just isn’t the same
