In My Next Life

I will ride the thermals on golden wing Through feathers the breeze shall sing And all below shall win my eye From tranquil clouds and cerulean sky Dip and dive in a sun so bright This golden coat of pure delight Wings shall span and shadows cast Primary coverts against the sun contrast And to the aerie I shall glide Where love is found at my lovers side This craggy peak shall ethereal flow Two hearts sated in sunsets glow Primary coverts: outer wing feathers.

As one who often dreams of flying, you took me on a delightfully romantic flight in this poem, Daniel. Beautiful images of the birds and sky. Love, Carolyn

"Wings shall span and shadows cast Primary coverts against the sun contrast" I feel like that line is forced. Other than that I enjoyed it. Keep it up!
