In My Next Life
I will ride the thermals on golden wing
Through feathers the breeze shall sing
And all below shall win my eye
From tranquil clouds and cerulean sky
Dip and dive in a sun so bright
This golden coat of pure delight
Wings shall span and shadows cast
Primary coverts against the sun contrast
And to the aerie I shall glide
Where love is found at my lovers side
This craggy peak shall ethereal flow
Two hearts sated in sunsets glow
Primary coverts: outer wing feathers.
