IN MY LIFE SONG

October, my birthday month began
with one of John Lennon’s personal
song, In My Life in my head making
me think my luck of having the same
birthday, ninth of October with him,
a very gifted, brilliant artist.

This melancholy song, In My Life
stirs my heart so tenderly, its words
move me to look back on the places,
things and people, yes that went before
in my life and to think and cherish
what I knew and learned about them all.

It makes me hold on to those precious,
sweet memories and my love for them.
It leads me to thank, appreciate
and love what I have at the moment
and encourages me to treasure
the past, the present for the future.

In My Life, a very reflective
song for John Lennon in looking back
of people, things and love in his life,
when he wrote the song and for me in
reflecting all my life on this ninth
of October, his and my birthday.
