In My Life
? ?? In My Life ?? ?
There's been sorrow, there's been pain
There's been heartaches to my disdain
Through my eyes, anyone can see
All these events have created me
Times I had spent as a child
Where dreams ran rampant and wild
Where my mind would never cease
My imagination did doubly increase
Throughout my entire time
Though twas not sublime
I learned things that were true
Whilst my world was still anew
As time progressed
I started a quest
Knowing I could fail
I yearned to prevail
In my life
Through the strife
I made it here
Proudly sincere
A question does arise
In the midst of deep reprise
Would I go back and change
To slightly rearrange
Though temptation is great
I'm reluctant to change my fate
I can walk with my head held high
Not releasing a single sigh
