"In memory of Grumpy Cat, an old stray who left footprints on my heart,"

In My Heart and Soul

He was a stray cat who suddenly one day appeared, and for this old cats safety within days- I feared; when I tried to touch his fur he hissed and growled, but, when I was inside he meowed and howled. So, I decided to save him from living on the street danger, and hoped this old cat would trust this stranger; I named him Grumpy Cat because, well he was, in no time- on my heart he left impressions of his paws. The unconditional love we soon shared was amazing, often, I would find his golden eyes into my eyes gazing; I gave him baths and after- I held for a long time to my heart, and his rusty purr rumbled and into my life he was part. For twelve years it was pure bliss- until his sudden death; when he left footprints within my soul in his last breath. What an amazing story, Constance. There is something so endearing about the story of "Grumpy" and your relationship with him - like love never giving up! This is bathed in your compassionate love. It is a wonderful metaphor about enduring love even for the grumpy! Congratulations on your win!

Milt, thanks for the compliment, yes, I loved Grump Old Cat so much, he had such a character and was devoted to me, on a funny note, once he came inside he never wanted to go outside again, I guess he had enough of the cruel cold world, sorry about the loss of Pearl, peace _Constance
